Today’s three pieces really did make me smile. First, the most charming set of five ceramic avocado-shaped bowls with hand-painted lavender sprigs inside. Then the sweetest little vintage glass mushroom in milky white with the confetti dots of red, blue, and yellow. And a beautiful Art Nouveau silver metal trivet with a calla lily design — genuinely too beautiful to hide in a kitchen drawer. All three on the website now.

This Thursday’s arrivals are a really lovely mix of things 😍 First, a Sylvac urn in the most beautiful deep emerald green with serpent handles and raised classical relief. Then a silver 5-light candelabra with an infinity wave base — a lovely sculptural piece! And a sweet little 1970s wicker and black metal letter rack which is perfect for a hallway console or a busy desk — all three are on the website now.

Two gorgeous natural pink conch shells, both with that most beautiful blush-to-deep-rose interior, and then a wonderful little studio pottery mochaware vase in a beautiful blue with an intricate dendritic tree pattern (a diffusion technique where the glaze is coaxed into branching tree-like shapes).

This one has a windmill maker’s stamp on the base too which I’m not familiar with - do you know who the maker is?

All three are on the website now if any of them have caught your eye. Comment WEBSITE and I’ll send you the link straight to your DMs 🔗

The last three of the week, and they’re just beautiful. The Johnson Brothers Millstream sugar bowl — pink and red transferware with a romantic watermill scene, complete with its original lid and twin handles.

Then the Keeling & Co jug — and this one is a proper antique, dating to circa 1890. It’s got this gorgeous faceted octagonal body with rust-orange florals and a cobalt blue handle dripping with gold accents. It makes the most wonderful statement flower vase now.

And then Royal Doulton “A Winter’s Morn” (HN4622) — limited edition number 1,934, sculpted by John Bromley for Compton & Woodhouse. She’s in a sweeping white winter coat with a fur m**f and the most delicate gold bow details. All-white bone china figurines are so hard to find in this condition. She is genuinely special.

What a Saturday. Three figurines arrived and honestly, laying them out side by side was just such a joyful moment. First up, Royal Doulton “Top O’ The Hill” — the classic Leslie Harradine design, this is the 2004 edition (HN4778) from the Pretty Ladies Best of the Classics collection. She’s caught mid-gust, clutching her hat, those wonderful ruffled red and yellow skirts flying.

Then the Royal Doulton Disney Cinderella (DP1 from the Walt Disney Showcase Collection) — blue ballgown, hand-painted.

And finally — the one that made me audibly gasp — Coalport Lady Caroline. Limited edition number 1,195 of 9,500, sculpted by John Bromley for Compton & Woodhouse’s “Edwardian Garden Party” collection in 1996. The pink and white layered dress, the ruffled parasol, the floral hat — pure romantic English charm.
