A welcome dinner shaped by the colours, textures and generous spirit of Provence.

For the welcome dinner at Château d’Estoublon, Neill Strain Floral Couture designed a vibrant floral landscape in shades of pink, yellow and orange, bringing together seasonal Dahlias, Garden Roses, Hydrangeas and cascading foliage with the natural abundance of the Provençal landscape.

From green vessels overflowing with olive, mint and ivy at the courtyard entrance to tablescapes layered with fresh grapes, kiwis and tangerines, every detail was considered to create a celebration that felt immersive, relaxed and distinctly Mediterranean.

A creative commission shaped by Neill’s direction, where floral design becomes part of the setting, the experience, and the story of the day.

A floral landscape shaped by family, friendship and the Provençal garden.

For Maggie’s wedding at Le Mas des Poiriers, Neill Strain Floral Couture designed an immersive floral landscape in pastel blue, lilac, cream, buttercup yellow and blush pink.

From meadow-inspired ceremony arrangements to cascading fountains and garden-like installations, every detail was considered in conversation with the surrounding landscape.

“Flowers were of paramount importance, as we wanted them to appear as a natural part of the Mas gardens and the Provençal landscape.”

A bouquet for Versailles.

For Maggie Varvel’s civil ceremony at Airelles Château de Versailles, Le Grand Contrôle, Neill Strain Floral Couture designed the bridal bouquet for one of the most personal moments of the celebration.

Set within a residence commissioned by Louis XIV and steeped in the history of the French court, the bouquet was designed with its extraordinary surroundings in mind - a considered expression of the setting, the bride and the occasion.

From the family’s long-standing relationship with Neill Strain to this moment in Château de Versailles, the floral design became another chapter in a story spanning almost two decades.

A wedding almost two decades in the making.

For Maggie Varvel and Derek Vincent’s wedding in Provence, flowers were at the very heart of the celebration. The brief was deeply personal: to create a floral landscape that felt entirely at home amongst the gardens, architecture and Provençal surroundings of the family’s beloved Le Mas des Poiriers.

For Neill, the commission held a particular significance. His relationship with the Varvel family began in London almost two decades ago, when Maggie’s parents first discovered his work. What began with flowers for their home grew into a longstanding relationship with the family - making the opportunity to design the flowers for Maggie’s wedding all the more special.

As Maggie shares with Vogue France, flowers were “of paramount importance” to the wedding. Every element of the floral design was conceived in response to its setting, with an abundance and naturalism that felt as though the flowers had always belonged there.

It was an extraordinary privilege to be entrusted with such an important celebration, and to create something so deeply connected to family, place and memory.
