Conner uses his voice with intention. From to the his approach sustainability and responsibility; he leads with empathy, courage and care. He stands for people not trends. That commitment is woven into everything he does, both as a designer and as a human.

We were beyond thrilled to celebrate him as the 2025 BFC Vogue Designer Fashion Fund winner.

Huge thanks to Stephen Fitzpatrick and The Roof Gardens team India Langton, Sue Walter, and Amanda Sheppard for making the celebration feel so special; full of heart & creativity with a sense of community.

The evening with the British Fashion Council and British Vogue was a reminder of why supporting new talent matters when creativity is led by integrity, purpose, and heart, it has the power to shift culture, not just fashion.

For me, wearing a piece from his latest collection to celebrate his achievement felt genuinely meaningful.

The work the British Fashion Council is doing for designers feels more important than ever. I met Laura Weir nine years ago through a friend, and she has always been genuinely down-to-earth, approachable, hardworking, and kind. Now as CEO of the BFC, she brings that same heart and clarity to her work, genuinely supporting designers, championing sustainability, and helping build the kind of infrastructure creatives need to grow and thrive.

Behind so much of the BFC’s philanthropic work is Tania Fares and Narmina Marandi. Their commitment to young designers has created real change over the years. Through initiatives like the BFC Fashion Trust, they have endeavoured to help build mentorship and funding opportunities that open doors and support designers as they evolve.

The Studio Sofa is a signature Spinocchia Freund design piece, valued for its generous proportions and clean lines. For The Curator’s Room at WOW!house in 2025, we reimagined this in a curved form, upholstered in Teddy Mohair Velvet with tonal variations that bring softness and depth to the surface. Made by Kuhn Upholstery, the sofa is anchored by embroidered and appliqué cushions created in collaboration with , inspired by lines from Patti Smith’s music and poetry, whose work has long resonated with me. Each cushion was developed in dialogue with the text, reflecting themes of collaboration, hope and possibility, so the sofa holds space not just as a functional piece but as part of the narrative woven through the room.

Libraries and curated book displays feature throughout our projects, as references for design and as objects for pleasure. Here, a Charlotte Perriand Cansado bench serves as a coffee table, holding a collection of artist monographs beneath a sculptural sofa upholstered in archive fabric reproduced for this project. Perriand’s low Berger stools and Carlo Scarpa wall lights complete the space, bringing together iconic pieces chosen for their craft and character. The room feels intentional, lived in, layered with texture, colour and a narrative that takes time to explore.

The bathroom within this private residence is defined by the panelling and the pared-back freestanding bath and bespoke vanity with extensive storage. The sweep of the curtain adds classicism and a little drama in an otherwise neutral palette. It’s a space for preparation at the beginning and relaxation at the end of each day.

Kesewa Aboah’s diptych “Our Solutions Will Always Be Incomplete” brings reflective light to this principal bedroom; it has a depth created through direct body mark making that connects artist and surface that invites reflection and pause. Along with the Classic Floor Lamp by , placing art within this setting reflects our approach to curation, layering contemporary voices alongside established works across the home; below sits the Pierre Jeanneret Cane Bench

Our bespoke headboard sets the tone for this bedroom. Designed by Spinocchia Freund and crafted in the UK, it is upholstered in archive fabric reproduced exclusively for this room. The headboard extends to frame a vintage lacquered bedside table sourced in Paris, paired with vintage brass lamps. The rest of the space is kept simple and clean, with a soft palette and restrained textures and detailing. The overall feeling is warm, calm and inviting.

We approach the design of wellness spaces with a focus on curation, collaboration, and craftsmanship. In this spa, curved lines soften the architecture and guide movement through the space, while crafted timber elements introduce warmth and rhythm overhead. Artisanal wall finishes and integrated lighting add depth and texture, shaped through close collaboration with skilled makers and trades.
