It makes it possible to make high rooms lower, and in case of low rooms, by use of a reflective membrane, it is possible to make them visually bigger without losing valuable space. A stretch ceiling doesn’t cause rooms to get lower, as it is installed on ceiling-level profiles that are about 30 mm high. In a stretch ceiling, we can install pretty much all kinds of traditional or unconventional lighting (LED, fiber optics) as well as backlight it entirely from above. A stretch ceiling can also have ventilation and air outlet systems installed in it. A stretch ceiling is resistant to vibration transmission. It is antistatic, which means that it doesn’t attract dust particles and other contaminants. A stretch ceiling is waterproof. It protects the room from getting flooded from above (it can bear a load of about 120 liters per 1 m2) and constitutes a protection against humidity. When needed, the ceiling can be washed using water and microfiber, or alternatively alcohol-based window cleaners.
