Pooky

Pooky Let there be light! We know how hard it is to find a really beautiful lamp, at a reasonable price.

And that’s why we've spent the last two years designing and making lamps and lampshades that look spectacular, but won't leave you destitute. From table lamps, bedside lamps and standing lamps to brass lamps, marble lamps, and spindle lamps – you might say we’re obsessed with lamps. At Pooky, we believe that if you get the lighting right, everything else falls into place – we hope you'll love them as much as we do.

We’re starting a new series with some of the designers we love, and first up is

If anyone knows their way around colour, pattern and a beautifully layered room, it’s Sean - recently named a Rising Star by House & Garden (quite right too!)

We asked him where to start if you’re putting a room together. His advice was to pick something you really love and go from there. And please don’t panic and paint everything beige.

We also talked hero prints, colours worth being brave about, and how to make a room feel collected, considered and properly lived in.

And if a Pooky lampshade happens to be the thing that starts it all? Well, we certainly wouldn’t argue with that!

If anyone knows their way around colour, pattern and a beautifully layered room, it’s Sean Symington - recently named a Rising Star by House & Garden (quite right too!)

His advice? Start with something you really love, let the rest of the room follow, and whatever you do, don’t panic and paint everything beige.

From hero prints to the colours worth being brave about, Sean shares his secrets for rooms that feel collected, considered and properly lived in.

We’re so ready for cosy season, with lighting that makes the darker evenings feel like a treat rather than a chore. ✨

Think warm glows, soft ambience and those little lighting touches that make home feel extra inviting. Because when the nights draw in, there’s nothing better than switching on the lights and settling into the cosiest season of the year.
