✨ What looks like a tired floor can still have decades of life left in it.

This original oak floor in Barnes, near Hammersmith Bridge, had seen plenty of wear — loose boards, gaps, staining and sections that had moved and twisted over time. Rather than cover it up or replace it, the aim was to rescue what was already there. 🪵

The loose boards were secured, uneven areas carefully levelled, staining treated and the open gaps filled before the floor was finished with a natural 2K Designer Oil.

Just four days later, the whole space felt lighter, calmer and far more refined — without losing the character that made the original oak worth saving in the first place. 🤎

A lovely reminder that restoration isn’t about making an old floor look new. It’s about making it look beautifully itself again.

🏫 A school floor with plenty of history — and plenty more life left in it.

This commercial restoration at Sandringham School, St Albans called for more than a straightforward refresh. With approximately 149 m² of original exotic parquet and 123 m² of Granwood flooring, years of heavy use, historic repairs and damaged areas all needed specialist attention.

The team carefully tackled everything from dust-controlled sanding and localised repairs to Granwood preparation, cosmetic filling and concrete colour matching, before applying a durable commercial-grade finish. 🪵✨

The result? A warmer, smarter and hard-wearing floor, ready to handle busy school life all over again. 👣
