Absolutely loving this 8" sponge cake for this guy always pushes me to try something different which is a good thing as I'm not naturally artistic.
His son is going to love it. The scene is set and this cake is just awaiting the addition of 🦕 which he loves.

Used up some very ripe bananas and added some Hennessey as I didn't have dark rum. This banana cake is too moist to be called a bread. I use Nigella Lawson's recipe as it never fails me. My partner asked if I bought it...bloody cheek 🤣🤣🤣

Not been myself recently so haven't been baking, but slowly getting there and have to start to get back to normal 🙃
