Using this bandwagon to reintroduce myself since it’s been a while. I’m Hayley a multi-media artist who discovered a love for printmaking almost 10 years ago after making a move to Dubai.
From just being a hobby to being to being asked to teach printmaking for a local craft company, and producing products sold by Dubai retailers, I never dreamed at the time how far making some lino stamps would take me.
Since moving back to Scotland in 2019, I returned to university to finish an honours degree in Fine Art then jumped into a Masters straight afterwards because I found that I just wanted to keep on learning.
Since my first simple prints my practice has grown into multi-media forms incorporating textiles and sculptural forms. I’ve been very grateful to have been invited to exhibit my work locally here in Moray and also in Dubai, Finland and Norway among other places. I’ve worked on fantastic commission projects both commercial and creative plus I’ve been fortunate enough to complete several artist residencies including two in the Arctic Circle.
Some say getting not one but two amazing jobs in the creative industry straight from university is lucky, but actually it’s reflective of almost a decade of bloody hard graft in the creative industry , years of experience in related work and being focused enough to know what I wanted to do. That is why I got exactly where I want to be. Working hard to achieve your goals is very chic 👌
