Green Man Gatekeeper is the Gallery / Workshop of

New Horned God figures now available at Green Man Gatekeeper.
Nestled on the southern fringe of the Forest of Dean, we’re a little shop inspired by the history, myths, and traditions of the land around us.
Each figure emerges from our interest in the folklore and the creative spirit of the forest.
The horned and antlered gods have long stood as symbols of vitality, the moon’s cycles, and wild, untamed creativity. From the ancient Celtic Cernunnos to Herne the Hunter and Pan, these deities celebrate nature’s power and mystery. Our stoneware sculptures honour this tradition, each one individually sculpted, kiln-fired, and uniquely finished.
No two figures are ever alike.
Standing around 15–16 cm tall, every figure is frostproof and made for display indoors or out. Whether adorning a home, altar, or garden, the Horned God brings a sense of ancient myth and wild spirit wherever he stands.

Folklore Figures. Over the last few days, I’ve been concentrating on making Mari Lwyds - it’s coming up to that time of the year.

All are made entirely by hand using natural materials, no computers, no 3D printing, no resin, no plastic. They are individually handmade in the Forest of Dean, and all are unique.

The website has been updated, but if I have missed anything, let me know and I will see what I can do.

They are individually handmade, so each one is slightly different - some are paler, some are darker, some are in-between - and all are unique.

Hand-painted in oils, each mischievous fairy face springs from the shadows of the forest or from my somewhat confusing dreams. Individually captured on wood slices, each is about 50mm across, ready to enchant your world!
Everyone is different, and unique, it is imposible to paint the same fairy twice, and they certainly wouldn’t like it if I did.
From the Forest of Dean to Land of Fairy, each portrait tells its own story.

They are £15 each, sizes small to ###L, (postage tracked 48 hour - £3.45).
