August, over & out ✌🏼

We’ve pretty much been non-stop since May and somewhere amongst the weddings, flowers, early starts, late finishes and general chaos, we’ve also survived a NINE week summer holiday 😂

Juggling kids and a business is no joke and I’ve definitely had my moments, but weirdly… I think I’m happier with work than I’ve ever been.

I realised the other day that I’ve probably only actually worked about 7 days in August. The rest I’ve managed to spend with the boys which, considering a few years ago Rose & Bloom was just a little idea I was trying to make work, is pretty cool.

Not sure I’d call it work/life balance because most of the year is absolute carnage 😂 but I’ll take it.

Anyway, August in numbers…

🌸 3 beautiful weddings
🚐 400+ miles
💐 approximately 748293 stems conditioned
☕️ far too many coffees
🫠 several “why do I do this to myself” moments
👦🏼 9 weeks of school holidays survived
💻 about 467 emails I’ve been pretending don’t exist
✌🏼 and somehow only 7-ish days actually at work

And now onto September…

We’re moving studios (which I am SO excited for), we have 3 gorgeous weddings to create and lots happening behind the scenes as we start planning for the ‘ber months 🍂🎄

Back to business ✌🏼

Blousy garden roses, delicate whites, the softest blush and just enough movement to keep everything feeling natural and undone.

For us, a bridal bouquet should never feel too perfect or overly arranged. It should feel like an extension of everything else: the dress, the setting, the season and most importantly, you.

Snippets in the early morning sunlight from this gorgeous overflowing archway we created on Saturday, for the loveliest couple and right on our doorstep 🤍

A little bit wild, a little bit romantic and completely at home amongst the old stone.

We wanted this to feel less like an arch and more like the flowers had simply grown their way around the doorway rambling, abundant and beautifully undone.

Layers of soft summer flowers, trailing foliage and seasonal stems, creating something full and overflowing without ever feeling too perfect or placed.

We love working with spaces like this, taking what is already beautiful and letting the flowers become part of it.

Big floral moments will forever have our heart. The kind that make you stop for a second, take it all in and remember exactly how it felt 🤍

A little slower pace this August 🌿🤍

And I have to say I’m quite enjoying it.

After what has been such a busy wedding season, we’ve only got two weddings left this August and they are both going to be so beautiful.
I can’t wait to bring them to life.

The slightly slower pace has also meant I’m nearly up to date with all my admin (not before time 😂), catching up on proposals, emails and all the behind-the-scenes bits that tend to get pushed aside when we’re knee-deep in flowers.

It feels lovely to have a little breathing space, get organised and start looking ahead to all the gorgeous weddings still to come this year 🤍

Feeling very grateful for another busy summer doing what I love.

The English country garden will always have our hearts 🌿

Wild, romantic, abundant and never too perfectly placed it’s very much at the heart of how we design at Rose & Bloom.

Big, statement floral arches are one of our absolute favourite things to create. Full of movement, texture and beautiful seasonal stems plus lots of foliage designed to feel as though the flowers are naturally growing into their surroundings.

Always bringing the outside in and creating florals that feel completely at home in the space around them.

Precious moments from yesterday for E & N 🤍

Wild & whimsical garden urns taking centre stage in the MOST beautiful garden, the dreamiest frilly, airy, ruffled bridal bouquet, and our first time flowering at Holesfoot 🌿🐿🍃🌾🌻🐓 and wow, were we blown away.

What an incredible venue. Every little corner was beautiful and the perfect setting for this romantic, garden-inspired day.

Soft, floaty, a little wild and full of movement exactly how we love our flowers to feel 🌿🤍
