Something a little different from the UK Sash workshop… 🪟
This one required a bit more thought behind the scenes.
The main window features three sliding sashes within a single frame, requiring a bespoke cords, pulleys and weights arrangement to allow each sash to operate independently while keeping everything neatly contained within the box.
Finished with decorative horns and leaded glass to the upper sashes, it’s a great example of how traditional sash window construction can be adapted for more unusual configurations.
A challenging one to get right — but exactly the sort of bespoke work we enjoy.
How would you approach the weights on this one? 👀
