I translate human emotional experiences into visual language by capturing the expressive power of natural forces. Through contemporary expressionism and lyrical abstraction, I transform scenes from nature-breaking waves, luminous sunsets and blooming flowers, into emotional landscapes that speak to our inner lives. My work centres on two complementary bodies: dynamic seascapes that embody our moments of intensity and change, and my floral series Anthesis, which captures the perfect moment of bloom - representing hope, growth, and renewal. These works create a dialogue between turbulence and tranquility, reflecting the full spectrum of human experience. This tactile approach allows me to channel the raw energy I observe in nature - the force of waves, the delicate emergence of petals - and translate it into paint. Colour, gesture, and atmosphere become my primary language, carrying emotional meaning beyond literal representation. At its core, my practice explores transformation. I believe art can hold the same regenerative power found in nature: the promise that beauty emerges through growth and change. Each painting becomes a space where viewers can recognise their own cycles of challenge and renewal, finding strength in the constant motion of life. Through this work, I invite others to see nature not just as scenery, but as a mirror for our deepest emotions and our capacity for resilience. Explore my work: https://artbyraads.com
