Finally finished and installed this glass shoal at my own house! There are about 24 fish here (don’t ask how many I broke—let’s just say I had to make 35 to get these 24). Every single one is cut by hand, coloured, and fired—no shortcuts, just weeks of patience, swearing, and persistence. They’re super thin and fiddly, but seeing them swimming together on my wall makes it all worth it. Sometimes the best things take a bit of chaos and a lot of wine. 🐟✨

It's October, which means Christmas is creeping up—brace yourself! That also means it's time for me to show off what I've been making with reclaimed Bombay Sapphire bottles. Yep, this blue heart (and these bowls) are all upcycled from gin bottles that would've ended up in the bin.

Every piece is handmade, eco-friendly, and a little bit wonky - bottle glass is rebellious. If you want to know more, fancy one for yourself, or just want to chat about upcycling, message me or check my website for details.

The full process from design, set up and multiple firings to the finished test piece.

The whole thing is covered with waves of clear glass to make it look like an underwater scene which it kinda does but I definitely think the background needs more glass.
