So, this is what 11 strangers from 10 different countries can produce in just 5 weeks!

For me, building with earth is the most sensual and natural thing in the world. The way my body moves and how zoned in I get makes it feel like I’ve been on this earth before, building in the exact same way. That Neanderthal gene must be strong! 😂

Between the amazing sculptures from Thomas , Laura , Katie and Carla and the incredible teamwork from everyone throughout the whole build, this was honestly the trip of a lifetime. I'm so grateful to Laura and Tom for sharing their teachings and passing on new skills, from dry stone walls to the reciprocal roof.

Also greatful for Nuno for opening up your home to me which i will be coming back to even if you don't want me too 😂😂

Love you guys, and I can't wait to build with each and every one of you again! xx

After a week of reflection following an incredible hands-on experience in earth building, I am excited to share a first look at the work produced.
Grateful to our instructors & for giving me the creative freedom to design and execute my own concepts on site. Inspired by the surrounding landscape and giant local canes, I designed and built my first earth sculpture !

An amazing beauty .o_l.f_ suggested creating the leaves into shelves so we incorporated a wattle and daub stucture using branches.

Carla crafted the smaller element on the right beautifully pairing with mine , opting for a bare cob finish. For my section, I applied a durable horse manure earth plaster finish, leaving the central cane stem in raw cob to unify the entire collaborative design.

It is a powerful reminder of how traditional, low-impact materials like clay, straw, and natural fibres can merge structural integrity with organic art.
It also amazes me how natural building with earth comes to us all how it takes over your body as if we have done this before .

I love it !!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Amazing how 9 people whom have never built a cob house or any kinda house have created this in just 10 days 😱
Guidance from the 2 Amazing instructors, can't wait to introduce so many techniques I'm learning into a earth based career in the UK and hopefully beyond.
Such an amazing bunch of people which I am so happy to be creating with ❤️

After 4 long, hard years at uni, I can finally say I've completed it!🙌😂
I have so many exciting things to come, and I feel like everything has been leading me to this moment. I have promised myself never to compromise my designs, and I am ready to push natural, earthen interiors into Manchester.
So excited to take my fingers off the laptop and put them back in some mud! 😂😂 🛠️🌍
