So it's been a couple of days, decided to make windows for the top of the new house rather than board it like the bottom, and decided to make opening windows to allow for extra air when needed. Made the door, that was more work than I thought 🤣 then wind and rain happened! A window on the old house broke and the roof went again! I've fixed 3 different places on that roof now! That prefab is rubbish (which is why Tiarna asked me to build the new bit myself) So decided a new roof was needed. With nothing of substance to screw a new roof too, went with building it it's own gazebo basically! Used the left over felt from the build and treated the rest till I can get more felt! But it's getting there! Window is fixed, new roof and the main build is finished on the extension! Now to finish painting and finish the back of the door! And off all the things I've been doing, I cut my finger open on the top of a screw! Not cool at all 🤣🤣

Finished the insulation for the inside, I'm waiting on a bit more wood tomorrow, so got 2 windows in each side done, and started painting! Again my daughter wanted to help! She has picked the colours, she wants her 2 favourite colours together, pink and black. I think it works well. Heat and Rain has been fun to work around 🤣

Today, I finished the roof! Yay! And I made the door connecting the 2 playhouses! Next I get to do something that doesn't just involve squares, rectangles or triangles! 🤣

Started off the morning with my daughter and her Nana doing a Parkrun. Then finished 2 walls with insulation and the apex of the roof, my daughter asked to help, and was very good at passing me screws while I was up a ladder! Also moved the middle support, and added 2 more, ready for the door! My daughter has asked for a fairy door 🫣 let's see how that goes 🤣

Didn't get time to post yesterday, after the heat the day before, decided to put up a gazebo to work under, I underestimated how complicated and heavy making a roof would be 🤣 but it's done, my daughter was very helpful passing me screws and helping with the insulation, she was very pleased with herself! This is where we were at end of the day yesterday.

Heat and a cuddly daughter (she gives good cuddles so I don't mind) slowed things down today, and a slight miscalculation with the roof apex which unfortunately I did not notice until it was up 🤦🏻‍♀️ so had to take it down and remake it! Whoops 🤣🤣 but this is where I'm at today.

This is a personal project my daughter asked for last year, after some disappointment with her last one, and apparently, Mummy could do it better (we'll see 🤣🤣) So me, friends and family gave her money at Christmas and her birthday. The wood arrived this morning! I will be updating as I go, but this is where I'm at now. 😊
