Artway Artist of the Month!

This month, we’re celebrating Thea’s beautiful prints, created using our very own Artway Lino Cutting Tools 😍

In Thea’s words:

’Im Thea Beechey, an eco-conscious printmaker specialising in lino-print and screen-print. What inspires me most about printmaking is how it forces you to slow down and focus, which is something I think we often forget to do. My values stay strong as an eco-conscious printmaker, and using brands that align with that is very important to my practice. I’ve recently upgraded my lino tools to the Artway Lino Cutting Set and it’s safe to say I’m obsessed. The range of blade sizes and the comfortable wooden handle create a lovely combination for a perfect, easy lino carving experience.”

It’s International Artist Day and we’re celebrating Guy Bigland, artist and founder of Books About Art:

Capturing the shifting palette of autumn… 🍂

Looking for an activity to try this weekend? Here is a quick idea for our brand new A2 paper roll:

Sunprint & Shadow Tracing: Roll out a long stretch of paper on a flat surface (perhaps in your garden or local park). Arrange or scatter fallen autumn leaves and branches across the page, or simply let the natural shadows cast by overhead trees do the work. Grab a charcoal stick, pastel or your favourite tool and begin marking the shifting shapes and light on your paper.

This is a great way to connect with nature and spark your creativity for the new season.

We are thrilled to sponsor this year’s Calne Music & Arts Festival, which kicked off on October 2nd and runs until October 11th!

As strong advocates for creativity and expression, we are proud to support this fantastic celebration of local talent, music, and visual arts.

Members of our team attended the opening night last Friday. Among them was our joint owner and director, Charis, pictured here admiring the artwork on display. We left feeling incredibly inspired by the diverse exhibits and the wonderful community in Wiltshire.
