Update:
We are now on week 3 of my foot saga!
I am absolutely not a good patient, I’m at the hospital again in the morning to check my foot, it’s so frustrating not being able to walk and having to do as I’m told.

I have orders here that will be leaving today and some local orders will be delivered too, thank you to each of you for being so patient.

I am a few days behind as we’ve also just had half term. But now they’re back at school as long as I don’t overdo it I should be able to catch up and be back to our usual turnaround by Wednesday :)

Today’s update:

Stitches are out! My nurse was lovely, I have to go back 2 more times and then we’ll look at nerve damage, it’s also half term and I have a small backlog that hopefully I can get sorted in the next few days and then then my turnaround should be back to normal, I’m not sure if I can post pics of my injury don’t want banning by fb - 🫣

Update: hospital appointment was this morning not yesterday, I lost a day somewhere, stitches out next Wednesday, not allowed to put any weight on it at all for the next fortnight at least and we’re trying to dry it out, new dressings given, once it’s started healing properly we can assess nerve damage 🤦‍♀️ because I like to do stupid things.

Please let this be your reminder not to walk around your craft areas barefoot and make sure you’ve eaten/drank so you don’t have a blood sugar crash, not be able to see, fall over and do silly things to your feet!

Going to have a coffee, wait for the painkillers to kick in and get an hour or two on the machines. -

Also all crochet orders are done too!

Hi you lovely lot, just a little update, I’m at hospital in the morning to check if my stitches are working, we’re still in the non weight baring phase, which is limiting how long I can sit at the machines for, orders are going out but slower than I would like, I think there’s a a few orders that are a day or 2 behind, but yarn based orders are ready ahead of schedule! Need to do something productive while sat with my foot up!

Because I don’t do things by halves I’ve spent the last 8 hours in A&E because I slipped in my work area and put a hole in my foot so big I’ve got 3 layers of stitches.
Luckily I work from home, so I will still work as much as I can but walking is a no go at the moment.
However my doctor/surgeon is an ARMY too and was amazing at calming me down with the best playlist ever!

I’m still working over here, in between endless talk of Pokemon with Toby plus all the usual tasks, I’ve lots of post to go tomorrow and then I’ll be having a full day off towards the end of the week for no reason other than I need to sleep!

I took the whole long weekend off from work, the first time in about 8 years, am I going to pay for it this week? Absolutely!

But what I also did was spent some time just being creative with no expectations, just purely for the joy of making and I think we all need that, in whatever form it takes.

Just a quick reminder that it’s school holidays here until the 20th - I am working but also I’m still a mum and replies may be slower but I am here!
