Yes I know it is still summer, but has anyone else started to notice the slightly cooler mornings & evenings and the subtle changes in the colour of the trees? Yes autumn is starting to call and my autumnal wreath and pumpkin workshops are starting to fill up, I've added an extra Pumpkin Workshop Date to the diary so be quick as these are limited and a popular choice 🌿

I have to say, I think this is quite a bold colour combination.

I’ve mixed the softest pale peach with these really gorgeous, punchy magenta silk flowers, and I wasn’t quite sure how they were going to sit together at first.

But actually, I really love them.

The magenta just brings the peach to life, and with all the greenery and different textures running through it, it feels really fresh and full of movement.

This one is heading into the spa at David Lloyd Milton Keynes, and I think it’s going to look lovely in there.

It’s funny how sometimes the colour combinations you’re not completely sure about turn out to be the ones you love the most.

Which silk floral are you most drawn to?

Is your eye caught by the raspberry rose, with its exquisite silk petals gently graduating through those beautiful shades of colour?

Or are you drawn to the soft, pale peach peony, with its delicate, romantic tones and beautifully full bloom?

I think I’m definitely a raspberry rose girl — there’s just something about those gorgeous graduating shades that keeps drawing my eye back to it.

I created a not so little Cerus Botanical Designs Floral Artistry beauty today, for David Lloyd Milton Keynes

This stunning silk floral creation is now taking pride of place at the main reception desk at David Lloyd Milton Keynes, where it will be enjoyed throughout the rest of August.

For this display, I’ve used the softest peaches alongside beautiful crushed raspberry florals, creating a gorgeous combination of warmth, depth and elegance.

I absolutely love how the colours work together — soft, romantic and sophisticated, with just enough richness to make the arrangement really stand out.

Beautiful, timeless and completely maintenance-free, silk florals are such a wonderful way to bring colour, texture and a touch of luxury into a corporate space.

A little florist hack from my Cerus Botanical Designs Floral Artistry workshop and bench.

If I’m working away from my normal raised Botanicals workbench and where I’m working isn’t quite the right height, I simply turn over a Dutch bucket. These are the buckets that flowers travel over from Holland in, hence the name Dutch buckets.

By turning it upside down, it elevates the piece to the perfect height for me to work comfortably and see exactly what I’m creating.

Today, it became the perfect little stand for this beautiful cut-glass crystal bowl, and I got to work creating a stunning silk flower and foliage creation with feathers, dried Allium heads and lots of other beautiful florals to create a stunning table centre.

I have to say, I’m absolutely in love with the finished result. I’m not sure I actually want to give this one up!
