Springer & Manx I produce a range of hand dyed yarns (mostly 100% wool) and individually dyed silk scarves.

I also combine wool and silk to produce nuno felted scarves, which allow me to play with texture and colour to produce some truly unique pieces.

Slight change to opening times this week, sorry. Closed again tomorrow (Tuesday) and 12.00 finish on Friday.
Monday, 19th January: closed
Tuesday: closed
Wednesday: 9.00 til 2.30
Thursday: 9.00 til 2.30
Friday: 9.00 til 12.00
Saturday: 9.30 til 4.30
Sunday: closed

Shop's open today! I'll be here til 2.30 (very poorly husband at home) then back in on Tuesday from 9.00 til 2.30.
There's not a lot of hand-dyed yarn left, which i hope to remedy at home on Monday.

So, there we go! Springer & Manx finally made it in to a bricks n mortar shop in 2025! I'll have to move at some point during 2026 (property is being converted into flats) but hoping to move to another retail premises - this time on the ground floor! Merywen will launch in 2026, so watch this space for that one. I'm also thinking about running a few felting workshops...massive dose of imposter syndrome like you wouldn't believe though, so need to have a serious word with myself first! Anyway, Happy New Year to everyone! Thanks to those that have bought yarn, fibre or things i've made and also to those that have just popped onto the page because something has caught your eye.

No shop tomorrow (Tuesday), unfortunately. I have to go and get a tyre fixed (hoping it's a wonky valve [thanks, potholes] and not the actual tyre)...

So i've just checked my calendar, and it is indeed Monday tomorrow! The shop will be open from 9.30 til 1.30 tomorrow and Tuesday, but will be closed from then until Wednesday 14th January (open from 9.30 til 2.30).

I'll be open again on Monday 29th & Tuesday 30th from 9.30 til 2.00, then closed until Wednesday 14th January.

Whilst stocks last, i've put together an offer on a needle felting kit; a collection of merino fibres (Christmas or Berry [purple shades]), a pack of felting needles and a large foam pad. I'll also throw in a pair of leather finger guards and a 100g bag of core wool (handy for starting off shapes). Worth over £26, on offer for £18
Edit: please note that this kit isn't suitable for young children, as felting needles are blinkin' sharp!
