Keeping the Edwardian features was the priority for this project. The customer wanted to replace all the front windows, so we installed FlushSash windows to the first floor and sliding sash windows to the ground-floor bay.

These ageing timber 'toilet' doors have certainly seen better days, but their transformation into modern, secure PVCu doors in a classic Rosewood finish shows what a difference an upgrade can make. This tired timber porch and inward-opening door have served their time, becoming drafty and worn, so an outward-opening design arrives. The new porch shields the beautiful 1930s timber door inside, helping preserve its charming character while adding everyday practicality. We carefully remove the old timber porch, safely acro-propping the roof to prepare for a strong, high-performance reinforced PVCu replacement. A solid-timber core door arrives finished outside in Chartwell Green with stylish Graphite hardware, complemented by charming arched Georgian bars. A-Rated glazing ensures warmth and noise reduction using obscured glass to provide privacy, security and a finish matching the porch.
