What a day! Lots of learning, lots of time on the water, and lots of paddle board love! 😍

I’m incredibly proud of this group today. Every single one of you showed up with an open mind, gave it your all, and supported each other every step of the way. There were some truly beautiful moments that reminded me exactly why I love doing what I do πŸ₯Ήβœ¨

Watching confidence grow throughout the day was amazing, and hearing all the conversations about what comes next tells me I’ve done my job right πŸ₯°

A huge well done to all of you. Every single lady stood up on her board today and achieved something she may not have thought possible this morning. That’s determination, courage, and girl power right there πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ’™

As an instructor, there’s nothing more rewarding than introducing people to a sport I love and seeing that spark ignite. Today was the beginning of something special, and I can’t wait to watch your paddle boarding journeys unfold πŸ™πŸ»

Join us for a special Summer Solstice Community Celebration at Nairn Beach. We warmly invite you, your family, and friends to come together for a memorable day of connection, wellbeing, and fun by the sea πŸ’›

Suitable for primary school-aged children.

Activities include:
✨ Interactive RNLI water safety talks for children
✨ Opportunities to practise β€œFloat to Live” skills

✨ Fun and engaging solstice beach activities (please bring buckets for building sand castles)
✨ Adult-to-child ratio of 1:1

Today I had the privilege of delivering an Introduction to Cold Water session for Army Welfare Services πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

As an emergency services worker, this was an opportunity I was particularly proud to be involved in. Supporting those who dedicate their lives to serving others is something that means a great deal to me, both professionally and personally. With my son serving in the Royal Navy, I have a deep appreciation for the commitment, sacrifices, and challenges faced by our armed forces personnel and their families ❀️

This session also reflected a key principle of KG Scotland’s mission, staying true to our vision: using our knowledge, skills, and experience to make a positive difference within our communities. Supporting the wellbeing of service personnel and their families aligns closely with our commitment to promoting resilience, health, and personal development through safe, evidence-based cold water education πŸ’™

Cold water immersion can be a valuable tool for enhancing wellbeing, resilience, and mental health when approached with the right knowledge and safety considerations. It was a pleasure to share the benefits, while emphasising the importance of self-awareness, informed decision-making, and personal responsibility ⭐️

Those who serve our country spend their careers protecting and supporting others. It is important that we also create opportunities to support them, their families, and the wider communities around them. Building resilience and looking out for one another are responsibilities we all share ⭐️

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and engaged so positively. I am proud to have played a small part in supporting this fantastic group and to continue delivering on KG Scotland’s vision of creating meaningful opportunities that strengthen wellbeing and community connection πŸ₯Ή

β€œI want to start with my heartfelt thanks to everyone in the group for the amazing few days. Everything felt perfect from the location, weather, the company, the support and atmosphere. For me, though it was being accepted into your community without question.

I was close to cancelling this trip as I was concerned about how limited I would be with my hand and did not want to be burden to anyone. Thanks to Kirstin, Charlotte and Denise I did not miss out on a beautiful few days that gave me the chance to reset and heal both physically and mentally.

There is something truly magical about women coming together and forming new friendships, creating the space to support one another and sharing the joy of new experiences.

Today in the art room, it’s all about preparing our goody bags! πŸ’™βœ¨

This week marks our very first Introduction to Paddle Boarding event, and for everyone joining us, we’ve been making you some special treats. Each goody bag includes exclusive KG Scotland artwork, alongside important water safety messaging from the RNLI ✨

We also have a very special Introduction to Cold Water session taking place this week, and to round it all off, we’re heading west for the weekend! β˜€οΈ

Creating these goody bags is one of my favourite parts of the KG Scotland experience. They’re a small keepsake designed to help you remember your adventure and look back on the confidence, connections and feel-good moments you’ve shared along the way πŸ₯°
