3 exotic wood bowls made today, Purple Heart, Zebrano and Masasa. All beautiful pieces, but the pictures don't really do them justice, especially the Masasa one, which changes colour when you move it in the light. All will be on my stall at Lincoln waterside shopping centre tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. If you're in Lincoln this weekend, call in and say hello.

Here is a selection that I have made today from some of the wood that I collected earlier this week. First was a medium size bowl from an unknown type of wood, then a small bowl from what I think is London plane. Then a set of salt and pepper grinders from Padauk, and finished off with a nutmeg grater from Cocobolo.
These are all available now, just message me, or they can be seen on my stall at Lincoln waterside shopping centre this Friday, Saturday and Sunday

I didn't turn anything yesterday, or most of today, as I went on a journey to buy a load of new wood from a gentleman who is no longer woodturning. I came away with a car load 🤷‍♂️It took me most of today to put it all away. Lots of exotic woods that I have never used before, and a few that I haven't even heard of. Plus a lot of Laburnum and a few bits of Yew. Watch this space for what I make from it all

All set up and ready at Lichfield guildhall, here until 3pm. It's a miserable day outside, so call in to see us if you're in the area, nice and warm and dry in here 😜 25 stalls to browse round, plus hot drinks and cakes

Back to making salt and pepper grinders today, this set is from Pau Amarello, or yellow heart. (It really is yellow), then a tray for my grinder sets to sit in, from Oak. These will be on my stall at Lichfield on 24th October, then Lincoln waterside on 30th & 31st October & 1st November

2 more items finished today. First one is a 12 inch, live edge fruit bowl from Cherry wood. Then a salt pot / trinket pot made from Spalted Walnut, with a matching lid. Just one item completed today. Something I have never made before, a small Sapele bowl with Ash and Elm inserts. Let me know what you think. Should I make a larger one? Two items made today, first up was a pot using Giant Redwood. It nearly went in the bin because it had a major fault in it, but then I decided to make a feature out of it by cutting it out and adding some laces to it. Then a salt pot / trinket box from Elm, with a Walnut lid and Panga Panga finial. Please message me if you'd like to purchase any of my items.
