Good evening all

I’m trying to break a cycle I seem to be in regarding my page. It’s lovely that the same 6 people keep liking my posts and seriously, every like is a win.

But I'd just like to see if I’m at a place where out of the 500 followers that I’ve built up over the years that there really is only 6 that like my work or if I’m stuck in some sort of weird social media glitch! 🤔

Here’s a picture of a pretty flower (a rose in our garden.....obvs) to try and help me break free. So, if you see this post please give me a like (which is like a virtual wave........a simple 'yes, I see you' nod).

For those of you who have asked, Rose began as my rough sketch, and together with AI, she became exactly who she was meant to be.

So whilst I drew Rose’s first draft, unashamedly - (because my illustration abilities are limited) AI became my very enthusiastic creative assistant that helped her become THE unofficial red squirrel ambassador for the Isle of Wight who you see today.

Rusty Range is entirely dedicated to this little red squirrel. One species. One island. Lots of love.

Did you know the Isle of Wight is one of the last safe havens for red squirrels in England? 🐿️🏝️

Thanks to the Solent acting as a natural moat, grey squirrels haven’t made it across — which means these little icons are still thriving here.

This little island is a big part of their story — and mine.

Apparently I'm supposed to show my face regularly on here but my introvert settings are firmly on, so you’re getting the colourful cartoon version of me for now — same quirk, just more digital.

Anyway, I'm the person behind Rusty Range, and the creator of Rose - the wannabee red squirrel ambassador for the Isle of Wight🌹🐿. Slowly but surely Rose is reaching new people across the Island and UK, so thankyou for helping this happen with your likes, shares, comments and purchases.
