This is so important to read and consider before you order a cake 🍰🧡

A friend sent me this recently so it isn’t my picture but it just shows the costs behind a cake maker’s craft 🎂 Not forgetting the hours spent on enquiries, social media, back office record keeping/organising/ordering/admin/account keeping, shopping and cleaning 🧹 Bearing in mind minimum wage is set to increase by over £1 an hour in April. I’ve spent years working myself to the bone and undercharging to keep in line with what is deemed acceptable but I’ve realised lately my business cannot survive like that anymore. Please bear this in mind when buying from a small business, that person isn’t working an 8 hour day and leaving their work at the door. It’s a lifestyle choice and we really do pour our hearts into our jobs so it is always so much more than just an end product or service 🤍
