Concept for a master bedroom complete with freestanding bath, walk-in wardrobe and ensuite. With nods to nature through the use of natural materials, artwork and a colour palette that could carry through the seasons.

Whether it’s relaxing with a book on the iconic Togo, or an evening soak in that bath, one thing is for certain you’re sure to feel super zen in this space.

Creating physical moodboards is a key part of my process and often follows a digital moodboard sign-off to check we are headed in the right direction.

Physical moodboards help to determine the overall vibe and are the next step in bringing the vision to life through inspiration, texture, colour, material, plants and finishes. Paired with a detailed plan of your layout, they are an excellent communication tool, and one of the things I love to do the most!

Just dropping this here to let you know that new things are coming! I’ve been working really hard behind the scenes and in doing so, I have naturally neglected this space.

Starting a business is no easy feat. Starting a business and raising little humans is doubly hard. But is there anything a millennial mum can’t do? (Don’t answer that!)

So to kick-start the new direction of this page from side hustle to - cough - *full blown new business venture*, I wanted to let you know what you can expect from ruum moving forward. But more on that another time, this post is already longer than I anticipated, it’s the weekend and I’ve some renders to attend. Keep your peepers peeled!

I couldn’t help but capture the observation car on the Dartmouth steam train from Paignton to Kingswear, also known as the Devon Belle.

Beautifully bold fabric seating stands in contrast to the beige and brown interior. A nice little detail; some of the chairs swivel to allow views from all angles of the carriage.

Taking a break from creating full scale layouts, to working on this miniature greenhouse just for fun!

It’s taking me back to my model making days and I always loved this part of a project; taking ideas from initial concepts on a page and building up into 3D form. I don’t get to do so much of that these days, so this is a welcomed nostalgic moment. However, I forgot how fiddly these things can be, that I don’t miss so much!

An early morning visit to a client today to discuss adding some artwork to the main wall in their dining room.

The brief is to source something that will complement the existing scheme, whilst injecting a bit of interest that doesn’t draw away from the beautiful wallpaper.

I couldn’t help but snap the sunlight as it flooded in through the room. Such a bright & calming space with nods to nature.

Another new product featured at CDW25 for Ocee & Four design, the Bobbin table. To celebrate the sustainable credentials of this product, I opted for green tones with natural wood finishes.

Above the table we installed a hanging flower display, and on the walls acoustic panels in gradient green tones helped to create an impact. 💚

Hi 👋🏻 it’s been a minute!

I’m back on maternity leave, and hoping to kick start this page again in between the sleepless nights, feeds and general chaos of being a mom to a toddler and a newborn!

My last project before starting ML was working on a new showroom space for the launch of Bloom, a modular soft seating concept, designed by Hee Welling for Ocee & Four design.

Inspired by the name and the playful concept of the product, I opted for muted spring pastels with bolder injections of colour brought in with accessories and artwork.

The layout adopted a minimalist approach, allowing for organic flow throughout the space, encouraging spontaneous movement and opportunities to perch and connect whilst exploring the product.
