This 4 week course is suitable for those who have basic clay experience and are looking to improve. This is not a structured class so is not suitable for complete beginners.

We had an exciting kiln unload we forgot to share featuring some pieces from a privately booked workshop.

This workshop featured some handbuilding and a taster session on the wheel.

ARPIL CLAY CLUB - Pottery Foundations

Come and join us at .studio for a 4 week evening course running Wednesdays in April from 6-9pm

In this course you will learn handbuilding techniques, wheel throwing basics and piece decoration and finishing.

We’ve been quiet so far this year but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been working hard shaping what 2023 is going to look like for us in the studio.

OPEN STUDIO IS IN FULL SWING
We are open today (26th) and tomorrow (27th) from 10am - 5pm

Find us on the first floor of Capitol House on Heigham Street in Norwich - Accessible by a flight of stairs

Of course, you don’t need to buy anything. Just come by for a chat and a mince pie.

✨ FESTIVE OPEN STUDIO ✨

We are opening our doors for a whole weekend. Join us on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th November to shop ceramics (with seconds and samples on offer) , socialise, listen to too much Christmas music or just visit our studio. 10am - 5pm on both days.

Earlier this week we hosted a practice Mug Making Workshop to make sure we have everything we need to our launch next week.

It was such a beautiful evening full of lots of learning for everyone.

Pictured are some of the creations from that night. We will never tire of seeing what different individuals can come up with when all starting with the same material.

In our Mug Making Beginners Workshop you will learn the basics of clay wedging as well as 3 different ways to handbuild a mug; slab, pinch and coil. You will likely resonate with some techniques more than others but this workshop is designed to show you what you like and don’t like so you can move forward in your clay journey in our more open access workshops.

Groups are limited to 6 people with both .noo.ceramics and teaching the class to make sure each participant feels fully supported and gets lots of 121 time.
