Taken yesterday on my local canal, this female kingfisher was busy and successfully hunting away in a stretch of the water where I've seen her several times recently.

Happy Friday Afternoon 😊🤗 It's raining & grey but.... spring 🌱☀️ is just around the corner 💗

My content didn't post this morning.....but never mind. I had been scheduling posts in the evening ready in advance, it's not quite working out some days 😄

For everyone going into half term, I hope you all have a fantastic week break! 🩷

Yesterday I abandoned my creative work for an hour and we popped out for a little local ride 🏍️ while there was a break in the weather. Good for the mind and the soul ❤️

Today I'm working gently from my bed. Plenty of rest and keeping warm. 🥰

I absolutely love Jeff Wheeler 🤍📖

I'm currently reading The Maids War but the first book of Jeff's I read was Storm Glass. It's the first book in that series and I got into the characters immediately. I read the whole series shortly after. I get totally lost in the worlds following the characters he has created.

If books aren't your thing I would love to know what you enjoy doing 🤗

Good morning and happy Tuesday 🤗

I was thinking about what else has been happening while I was away poorly.

We had a kitchen revamp in November. It was freezing the whole 2 weeks so the plaster was taking ages to dry and with the room gutted it was extra chilly.

We are lucky to live in a housing association property so they did all the hard work. I just have to eventually put colour on the wall.

I was remembering when we got the keys at the end of 2012. It was just hours before the letting agent closed for Christmas on the 23rd and we were stressed because we were about to be homeless for the third/fourth time time. ....😅. I forget, it's just a blur now....

We didn't know at the time of enquiring it was a housing association home, I found this tiny advert in the local paper and it was pretty much our last shot at finding a property. So I pushed for a viewing and thankfully 🙏 someone was watching over us.
They had purchased the property as an empty home so the windows and stuff were shot & the gas was capped until the new year but we were allowed to start moving in so we could get our belongings safe.
Sometimes things come along exactly when they are supposed too 🙏

It saddens me that circumstances like this are all too frequent now. I know how tough it is and when it isn't your making.

I'm grateful we had the opportunity then for some stability finally and we are still here. It's peace of mind more than anything else. We have lots of work tidying to do outside this year and I'm looking forward to getting some food and flowers growing again. 💐🌱

Good afternoon beautiful folks 🤗

Oh my goodness, how freezing 🥶🥶 is it outside today.
We popped out on the bike yesterday for an hour to grab a bulb from Halfords at the big retail park. It was nowhere near this cold......the car is no more.....so for the time being it's 🏍️ only for transport. Not as much fun when it feels so icy 🥶 😂

I've been away on a special trip with a friend 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
I'll be honest the photos are few, we have been laughing and chatting non stop. ......🤗 but I have loads of videos from the Tattoo at Edinburgh ❤️

The weather has been fab and the company just the best 🥰❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
