OK so he's a bit of a wild card...

What do we think to this Jackelope? He's got some teefs and horns and he looks like he's a bit of a menace.

Anyhow a bit of a less structured foreground as I can get carried away with details so I need to loosen up a bit. Some spatters and some vague leaf shapes so I don't spend too long on those bits.

I got one out of 3 finished before way past my bedtime. At the risk of going into the wee hours I need to stop!

Hoping to take prints of this chap to the Samhain pagan market at the end of this month. Anyone like him enough to take home one of my brain children?? 🤣

3 works in progress simultaneously!

I have been to the dietician this morning (needed to go because I have been trying to navigate a low FODMAP diet for ages now to figure out what is twisting my guts but it's an absolute boss level nightmare.

So I am seriously behind with where I wanted to be today with my work and prep for upcoming markets.

So to combat this and try and harness the power of my poor attention span. I have been working on 3 pieces at the same time. I think I have unlocked a new level of my brain 🧠

We have an owl, some kinda jackelope thing and a howling snail. Not finished all need to be by the end of the day... ideally. Send help!

Oh my gosh this took me so long to do folks!

Incorporated a background, lighting and also some texture use of a sponge and some drybrushing.

I am definitely happy with most of it! What do you all think?

I am feeling so inspired by the legend Jill Barklem and I think her work is certainly something to aspire to. I think I always likes painting small furry creatures but her work is so magical it is steering me down this micro detail and complex background road. I just need to do a lot more work to get as good as her!

The witches companion

All finished and it is rare that I do backgrounds but I am pushing myself recently so it's very much out of my comfort zone.

Thanks to all the votes for the blue 🔮 orb.

This original *and prints will be coming with me to the Samhain pagan market on the 31st October along with all my other usual wares.

An amazing session this week where we did pumpkins for the subject.

One more session this term before the 2 week October half term.

There is only a few spaces remaining.

The last session is on black cats.
