Thankfully feeling a bit better than I was last week so hope to catch up with things this week! I’ve got plan’s & elevations to draw up, samples to get and trades to book in! ~ What’s on your to do list this week? 🤔

🌿 Looking to nature and your local surroundings can inspire not only your colour schemes but also the use of patterns and textures that reflect the natural environment and can help ground the design within its locality 🏡

🍃 This helps to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere . . . 😌

🌿 conversely, using colours, patterns and textures that are not found within the locality can create a disconnect that can impact upon the overall feeling within a space 😏

☀️ How was your Sunday? - I actually thought I was going to melt! 🫠 It was sooo hot! 🥵 I’m glad it’s cooled down a bit; hopefully I’ll actually get some sleep tonight! 🙏🏻

✨ I love a good quote and recently came across this one from the Designer and author Paul Rand. Despite him being a graphic designer, as opposed to an interior designer, it really resonated because “Everything is Design”! 🌿

🌳 Trees can effectively lower the temperature in city streets by between 2 & 12’ 😅

🖌️ Decorating with colours from the cooler end of the spectrum can actually make you feel physically cooler! 💙🩵💚🤍💜

🪴 Combine cooler colours and the greenery of plants to create a cool, calm sanctuary 😌

🐑 Wool and other natural materials can help regulate temperature, and cool smooth surfaces such as glass and tiles can also help reduce heat.

🌿 Working on finalising schemes for a guest bedroom and shower room (for the same client) - somewhere warm and welcoming for family & friends to stay ☺️

🧡 Loving the bedroom wallpaper from and the perfectly co-ordinating and (from 🤍)

🚿 And for the bijou shower room we’re keeping the existing white tile and keeping it light and airy with more and the gorgeous Coastal Cove fabric by 🐚🪸
