Here's to us! A finished mixed media piece done using charcoal, pencil and pen. If you are a fan you may recognise this rock icon. Lzzy Hale from Halestorm. I love creating contrast in my work. And this was no exception. I enjoyed doing this piece. Not done one quite like this before so was a bit of an experiment. I am happy how it turned out. What you think?

I did this one yesterday using grey scale soft pastels. No pencil ✏️ sketch first. Just went for it. Took about 2 hours. It turned out ok I feel.

I saw a photo similar. Liked to emotion. The care and compassion between two people.

This is the lid of a box that I'm going to turn into a jewellery box. I drew this design and painted on top. I think it turned out well. What do you think?

I chose a snake because they represent transformation, life death rebirth. The same as a Scorpio (I'm a Scorpio 😉). The arrow represents going in a new direction. The sunflower 🌻 represents finding your joy and happiness as it always faces the sun. They are also my favourite flower. I also included a marigold because that is the birth flower for October. 😊. Just need to varnish it and put the box back together.

This is my latest pencil and charcoal drawing. I found an old photo print of this amazing boat scene. And decided I would have a go at capturing its character. I was going to add in pen detailing but liked how it replicates an old photo so I left it as is.

Here is the second Pop Art inspired piece. I tried to capture different emotions just by using the eyes. The eyes can say a lot about someone.

Thought I would have another go at pop art inspired drawings. This one turned out a lot better than my first attempt. I like to include emotions in my art because art should make you feel something in my opinion. Going to do a series of these. More to come x
