We'd love you to say a big hello to Mike who has been attending Milton Piece Community Allotment since the start of the year! He's been a fantastic support, helping to keep the site looking great and making time to chat with other attendees.
He's also become a regular at our Pie Club, which inspired him to buy his own pie maker and start making his own recipes. Today's experiment is a chicken and leek pie, using leeks freshly picked from the allotment!

Thank you, Mike. We're lucky to have such amazing people helping make Milton Piece a welcoming space 💚🥧

💫From Recovery to Building Confidence💫

After receiving physiotherapy support following an injury, this gentleman was referred to Community Connectors to rebuild confidence with outdoor mobility.

Five sessions later, he achieved his goals and now enjoys daily walks along the seafront, staying active and enjoying the world around him. 🌊👣

Chop Cook Chat at North End Baptist Church returned today after summer break. Check out these pizzas! Mamma mia 👨‍🍳 We discovered that tomatoe puree and red pesto make a delicious base sauce. We even had some fresh peppers from the allotment. Tastier, healthier, and a lot cheaper than a takeaway 💯

Chop Cook Chat runs all over the city. We always need volunteers to help and have spaces for people to come cook. There is even a space in this group if you feel you would benefit from a little extra support. Call the Independence and Wellbeing team for more information 02392841762, or email [email protected]

Would you love to come to this group but don't feel confident enough to come on your own? Then contact the community connector service, they can support you for a short time to get there! Please call 02392841762 or email [email protected]

A nice change to get out of the city and on a convenient bus route from Portsmouth.

If you have an interest in Nature and would like to take part or volunteer to lead a nature walk we'd love to hear from you :)
