The cosy months are coming… 🍂🕯️🎄

There’s something so lovely about the shift into September, October, November and December — darker evenings, warm drinks, autumn colours, candlelight, greenery, berries, pinecones and all those little seasonal details that make the “ber months” feel so special.

I’ve got a lovely run of floristry workshops coming up across Lancashire, each one designed to be relaxed, creative and beginner-friendly. You don’t need any floristry experience — just come along, switch off for a couple of hours and make something beautiful to take home.

September starts with late-summer and harvest flowers. At Toll Bar Community Café we’ll be making a low, natural Late Summer Harvest Table Arrangement, full of seasonal flowers, foliage and texture. At Regenerage, the focus is a warm, harvest-inspired arrangement designed to bring those first autumn colours indoors.

As we move into October, things get properly autumnal. At Garden Terrace we’ll be creating an Autumn Wreath, using seasonal foliage, natural textures and warm autumn decoration. Then at Hoghton Tower, we’ll be filling a real pumpkin with flowers, foliage and beautiful seasonal materials to create a proper autumn centrepiece for your home. 🍁🎃

Then comes Christmas wreath season 🎄

Throughout November and early December there are several opportunities to make your own fresh Christmas wreath at Garden Terrace, Regenerage, The Mill at St Catherine’s, The Eagle & Child and Hoghton Tower.

Expect plenty of fresh seasonal greenery and a generous decoration selection, with things such as dried oranges, cinnamon, pinecones, berries, lotus heads and ribbons, so you can make your wreath completely your own.

And finally, in December, the Regenerage workshops move onto festive table centrepieces — seasonal greenery, flowers and Christmas details to create something lovely for the table as we head towards Christmas Day. 🕯️🌲

I’ll also be out and about at some wonderful Christmas markets with handmade wreaths and seasonal pieces:

Booking is nice and simple — workshops marked Eventbrite on the poster can be booked through Eventbrite, while the Regenerage and The Mill at St Catherine’s workshops are booked directly with the venues.

Join **Carys Ainsworth Floristry** for a relaxed and creative morning at **Toll Bar Community Café** and create your own beautiful **Late Summer Harvest Table Arrangement**.

During this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll be guided step by step through creating a **long and low floral arrangement** using a seasonal selection of fresh flowers, foliage, berries and natural textures. The finished design is perfect for displaying along a dining table, sideboard or mantelpiece, and you’ll take your arrangement home with you at the end of the session.

No previous floristry experience is needed. Whether you’ve never arranged flowers before or simply fancy a creative morning doing something a little different, you’ll be supported throughout and encouraged to make the design your own.

And just like that… the ’ber months are here 🍂🤎

My favourite little stretch of the year.

The months of chunky jumpers, crisp mornings, candles lit while it’s still afternoon, steaming mugs of coffee, cake with friends, blankets on the sofa, slow-cooked dinners, bonfires, fireworks, autumn walks and coming home rosy-cheeked to somewhere warm.

Very hygge. Very fika. Very much my kind of season. ☕🍰

And this year, it feels even more exciting because there is so much happening with Carys Ainsworth Floristry over the cosy months.

There’ll be harvest table arrangements, autumn wreaths, pumpkins overflowing with flowers, lots of foliage, berries, seed heads, dried oranges, cinnamon, pine cones and all the lovely textures that come with autumn…

…and then before we know it, we’ll be into evergreen, ribbons, mulled wine, mince pies and Christmas wreath season. 🎄

I’ll be popping up at lovely cafés, community venues and historic places around Lancashire for workshops over the next few months, as well as getting ready for Christmas markets and plenty of handmade festive floristry.

Some dates are already in the diary, including September at Toll Bar Community Café, pumpkins at Hoghton Tower in October, Christmas market weekend at Hoghton Tower in November and Christmas wreath making there in December — with even more being planned behind the scenes.

It feels like the beginning of the busiest part of my year… but also the loveliest.

Lots to make.

Such a lovely evening at Garden Terrace Coffee House & Bar 🌸🥂

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to last night’s Flower & Fizz workshop. You all created such beautiful arrangements, and I absolutely loved seeing how different each one turned out.

We went bold and bright with gorgeous hydrangeas, roses, dahlias and plenty of colour — and the finished pieces looked amazing. 💜🌺

Thank you as well to Mark and the Garden Terrace team for having me. Such a lovely setting for a relaxed evening of flowers, creativity and fizz.
