From mountain trails and alpine lakes to the streets of Ljubljana....Slovenia is such a beautiful and inspiring country 🇸🇮 This is my fourth visit and it never disappoints.

I've also returned with a reminder of why nature continues to inspire everything I create 🌲⛰️ From the little alpine wildflowers, to the layers of the landscape and changing light across the mountains... nature really is my favourite creative collaborator 🌿📸

After the rain… 🌿💧

After the recent drought, it’s been so good to have some proper rain 🌧 I’d forgotten how beautiful raindrops can be up close - the way they land on petals and leaves so differently.

I love popping out into my garden to capture the changes - a few minutes observing nature up close, a quick reset during my working day 🌸

When summer starts to fade into autumn 🍃🍂

Everywhere you look, there are little signs that the season is changing. The hydrangeas turn into beautifully muted shades, whilst dahlias, sedums and sunflowers are still bringing bursts of colour🌻🌸

As always, The Savill Garden provides the perfect canvas for capturing the colours and textures of the changing seasons 📸

Welcome September 🌸 The start of Autumn in the meteorological calendar 🍂 For me, it's the month to enjoy the last colours of summer with vibrant dahlias still growing strong and a wonderful vintage tint to the hydrangeas... with the first signs of real Autumn colours coming a bit later in the month 🍁

On my recent trip to Toronto, I loved visiting the vibrant street art in and around Graffiti Alley. Then I spotted the new Graffiti Reef at Ripley’s Aquarium , where vibrant reef fish and their amazing patterns are displayed alongside graffiti-inspired artwork 🐠🐡

It got me thinking… could I find my own version of graffiti in nature?

As soon as I walked into the Mediterranean Garden at the Royal Botanical Gardens of Canada, I knew I'd found some perfect examples! The colourful, varied planting, with bold colours and contrasting patterns, was incredible 🌺🌵🏵🍀

It’s amazing how nature can reflect so many of the qualities we look for in art - colour, pattern, texture and composition 🌿🖼
