🐞 Happy Birthday! 🐞

Today we’re sharing this bright and cheerful birthday card created by Nicola.

For the background, Nicola used the Glitch Numbers stencil with Distress Oxide inks to create a fun, vibrant backdrop full of texture and colour. The adorable focal images were created using the Little Ladybirds stamp set, which were stamped, coloured and carefully fussy cut before being added to the design.

To finish the card, Nicola added birthday sentiments from the Best Birthday Ever stamp set, creating a playful card that’s sure to make the recipient smile!

What do you think of those cute ladybirds? 🐞❤️

✨ Live like Tomorrow doesn’t Exist.✨

Chiara created this vibrant mixed media card using bursts of colourful Brusho paints to build an energetic, splash filled background. The bold focal image from the Tomorrow Doesn’t Exist stamp set brings movement and fun to the design, while the Seeing Stars stencil adds extra layers of playful detail throughout the background. ⭐💙💚💛

Finished with stamped sentiments, this card is a joyful reminder to live in the moment and embrace happiness every day.

Spring has finally sprung, so Shirley was inspired to create a gorgeous butterfly birthday card for her latest DT project. 🦋💛💙

[Process]⬇️

🦋 She stamped the butterfly directly onto the card panel, then stamped it again onto spare cardstock for fussy cutting later.

🦋 Using the Colour Blind stencil, she softly blended dotted details into the background for added texture.

🦋 The Framed Fibres panel was created by smooshing spritzed Distress Inks onto cardstock, then adding extra ink blending for depth and movement.

🦋 After die cutting the Framed Fibres design, she layered it over the stamped butterfly image.

🦋 The fussy cut butterfly was then adhered on top to create beautiful dimension.

🦋 Finally, she added a sentiment from Go To Words and mounted the finished panel onto a DL card base.

A gorgeous mix of texture, colour and delicate detail. Perfect for spring!

🌊 Serene Seahorse Sympathy Card 💙

For this week’s Visible Image DT post, Lorraine created a serene underwater-inspired sympathy card designed to bring a sense of calm and comfort. Rather than using traditional florals, she chose the striking seahorse from Create Your Calm as the focal point — perfect for a card made in memory of a much-loved father.

[Process]⬇️

✨ Lorraine began with a softly blended inky background to create the feeling of an underwater scene.
✨ She added movement and depth using fish and foliage stamps from Dare To Swim.
✨ The seaweed was coloured before adding delicate coral details stamped in pink dye ink using the large tree stamp from Into The Woods — a creative way to repurpose a stamp for an ocean theme.
✨ The seahorse was stamped in Versafine Clair Twilight ink and clear heat embossed to enhance all the beautiful detail.
✨ To give the seahorse a subtle shimmer, Lorraine painted over it using Frozen Distress Mica Spray, catching the light beautifully.
✨ For added texture and dimension, the Torn Fishcut die-cut was embossed with layers of green, navy, and metallic embossing powders. The pieces were then trimmed and arranged around the edges to frame the focal image and draw the eye inward.
✨ Finally, the “With Sympathy” sentiment was mounted with foam tape, and the finished panel layered onto navy cardstock and a crisp white card blank.

The combination of rich ocean tones, metallic textures, and gentle shimmer creates a card that feels both peaceful and heartfelt ✨

☀️ Summer will soon be here in the UK and Rachel can’t wait for beach days and long walks in the midday sun. This inspired this week’s DT make using the fabulous ‘Rise and Shine’ stamp set and ‘Strobes’ stencil. 💛💙

Process ⬇️

✨ Background
• Rachel sprayed ‘Tumbled Glass’ Distress Spray Stain onto a round die-cut piece of white card and dried it with a heat gun.
• She then placed the ‘Strobes’ stencil over the top and blended ‘Salty Ocean’ Distress Ink through it.
• The bubbles from the ‘Rise and Shine’ stamp set were stamped using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder. This was repeated with ‘Salty Ocean’ Distress Ink.
• Finally, the background was splattered with ‘Tumbled Glass’ Distress Spritz and white ink.

☀️ Focal Element
• The sun image was stamped onto white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder before being fussy cut.
• Rachel coloured the sun using ‘Mustard Seed’, ‘Spiced Marmalade’ and ‘Worn Lipstick’ Distress Inks.
• White gel pen details and Wink of Stella sparkle were added for extra shine.

✨ Sentiment
• The sentiment was stamped onto black card using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder.

💙 Completion
• The background was mounted onto black card and attached to a circular easel white linen card blank.
• The sun and sentiment were added using 3D foam pads, along with a few water droplets for extra detail.

This is such a cheerful card and a lovely reminder that even when the clouds appear, the sunshine is never too far away ☁️☀️

Top Tip: Use different depths of 3D foam pads to create extra layered dimension on your cards!

❤️ Handmade with love ❤️

Created by Chiara using two beautiful stencils, a halftone stencil for the background and a mesh heart stencil for the main focal image. The layered textures and bold red tones give this card such a striking mixed media feel ✨

VersaFine inks and texture paste were used to add depth and detail, while the stamped grunge sentiments bring extra character and emotion to the design. From ‘Hello’ and ‘Thanks’ to ‘Love You’ and ‘Miss You,’ this card can suit so many occasions 💌

Whether it’s to say thank you, send a smile, or remind someone you’re thinking of them, a handmade card always feels extra special. ❤️

Today Jane is sharing a summer-themed masculine birthday card featuring the fabulous You’re a Classic vintage car stamp set. 🚗☀️

Process ⬇️

Jane began by creating a vibrant Distress Ink background to give the card a warm, summery feel. Once the background was complete, she used part of the Logic stencil with additional ink to build up a road effect, showing how even a small section of a stencil can completely transform a design.

Next, Jane stamped and coloured the vintage car before layering it over the stencilled background to create depth and bring the whole scene together. She then added the finishing details to keep the design bold, clean, and perfectly masculine.

One of Jane’s favourite things about Visible Image stencils is how versatile they are as you can use as much or as little of the design as you need to create completely different effects.

You can find the process photos over on Instagram today or for a more in depth step-by-step tutorial, head over to Jane’s latest blog post! [Link in comments]. ❤️🤩✨

Spring is definitely inspiring Jeanette’s creativity! 🌸🌼

This beautiful floral card created using the Where Flowers Bloom stamp set and the Off the Grid stencil. The flowers were coloured with bright yellow, orange and pink markers, with extra highlights added using a white gel pen.

To add more depth and interest to the background, Jeanette used VersaFine Clair Morning Mist ink along with Distress Texture Paste. The vellum sentiment was gold embossed for an elegant finishing touch, and everything was framed with black card before being attached to a soft yellow card blank ✨

Such a happy and colourful spring make! Which detail catches your eye first? 💛
