Day 2 of making Fly Catchers. You can see how I make them into a lidded container and add feet.
Interestingly it takes longer to do this part than the actual throwing on the wheel.
Let’s see how they all dry out.

These ramen bowls are tricky to glaze as I have to hold them upside down with one hand to dip. But worth the hand pain when I see the result.
It’s just the natural stoneware clay at the base combined with a high shine drippy glaze inside and on the rim.
Kitchen safe and ready to purchase from my website.

Large serving dish or fruit bowl. Looks fab in the centre of a table, this is not a new glaze combination for me but it is for bowls of this size.
I can only make these when I have a large quantity of glaze so I’m able to fully dip and submerge the bowl into the glaze bucket.

I’m excited to be back at Surbiton Farmers Market this coming Saturday 17th October 9-1pm. Do come and say hello, I’ll have lots to offer with many new glaze combinations. I’m not back there again until December 19th which is very close to Christmas so I can’t guarantee stock availability at that time. So make the most of this coming Saturday. Look forward to chatting with you all.
