Hi there👋
I thought it was about time that I showed my face on here and introduced myself. I’m Cristiana, originally from Portugal 🇵🇹 and mummy to two crazy girls 👨👩👧👧 Odete 4 and Ottavia who’s 1!
I moved to the UK with my family at the age of 8 and growing up we had a typical working class upbringing. By the age of 12 I got my first job in a cafe and fast forward to my mid 20s, I ended up working for a large multinational company! It was a proud achievement for me as I didn’t go to university. That said, I knew that one day I’d want to do something for me. Something that I was passionate about but having suffered with anxiety and a lack of self belief for many years I was never brave enough to take that leap.
My passion for all things property started from a very young age. I remember watching my mum read every interior design magazine she could get her hands on, watch property shows and constantly redecorate the house and rearrange furniture. Over the years friends and family have often told me I have a good eye for design and that I should pursue this as a career. But of course that voice in my head always told me no, you’re not good enough. I’m lucky I have the most amazing husband who has always been my biggest cheerleader and has always pushed me to do the things that I love and to believe in myself. Earlier this year I was made redundant; it was a blessing in disguise and push that I needed. I was determined to use this opportunity to invest in myself, start my own business, and show my two girls that it’s never too late to follow your dreams…
and so Docor was born! 🙌
