🎙️ Our latest episode is now live!

We spend our careers restoring furniture… but how often do we stop to restore ourselves?

In this season finale episode of Sit on This!, we’re joined by Natasha Kenworthy for an honest conversation about the realities of working in upholstery. From stress and burnout to aching backs, repetitive strain and the pressure of running a business, we explore why so many of us put our own wellbeing at the bottom of the list.

This isn’t just a conversation about massage or self-care, it’s about protecting the most valuable tool in your workshop: you.

If you’ve ever worked through pain, skipped a break to finish a project, or wondered how to make this career sustainable for the long term, we think you’ll get something from this episode.

Recorded last week… and trust us, this one’s a big conversation. 🎙️🔥

We spent the afternoon with the lovely Delyth Fetherston-Dilke talking all things UK fire regulations. From chemical flame retardants and health concerns for upholsterers, to sustainability, manufacturing, imports and whether current legislation is fit for purpose.

It’s a topic that divides opinion across the furniture industry… and we didn’t shy away from the tougher questions.

With the current government consultation open until June, this conversation feels incredibly timely.

Episode coming soon on Spotify, Apple Podcasts + YouTube.

What are we actually sitting on? đź‘€

Ray and Vicky have just dropped the latest podcast — recorded live at the Furniture Components Show with two of the people behind the materials we use every day, from foam to fabric.

It’s a proper behind-the-scenes look at the upholstery industry… how things are made, why they’re made that way, and what’s changing.

Naturally, the conversation wandered into some of the bigger topics — fire regulations, material choices, and what the future might look like. It’s a really interesting snapshot of where the industry is at right now.
