Monday Moodboard | Pattern on Pattern

If you’ve ever wondered whether you can mix patterns, the answer is yes.

The trick isn’t matching—it’s balancing. Here, bold geometric prints sit comfortably against a richly detailed botanical wallpaper because they share a similar colour palette while contrasting in scale and style.

Take inspiration from designers like William Morris and Richard Riemerschmid: layer florals with geometrics, mix large motifs with smaller repeats, and let colour be the thread that ties everything together.

Pattern doesn’t have to compete. When chosen thoughtfully, it creates depth, personality and a space that feels uniquely yours.

MONDAY MOODBOARD ✨

Pop Art meets timeless interiors.

Inspired by the electric energy of Andy Warhol’s iconic Marilyn Monroe at MoMA, today’s mood board celebrates fearless colour, reflective metallics, reclaimed architectural details and a little touch of Hollywood glamour.

I’m imagining original mouldings with history, shimmering silver and gold wallcoverings, lacquered finishes and bold contrasts—where vintage craftsmanship meets contemporary luxury.

Because the best interiors don’t whisper… they make an entrance.

Monday Moodboard ❤️

Some of the best interiors don’t start with a shopping list—they start with a feeling.

This week’s moodboard is inspired by Untitled (1942) by László Moholy-Nagy. His exploration of bold geometry, colour and light encouraged me to look beyond individual objects and think about how shape, texture and contrast work together.

For this look I’m drawn to:
• Rich mahogany and beautifully aged wood.
• Sculptural vintage lighting with clean, simple forms.
• Tactile wallpapers that add quiet depth.
• Pops of lacquer red against soft greys and warm neutrals.
• Layered textures that make a room feel collected rather than decorated.

It’s a reminder that vintage isn’t about matching everything perfectly. It’s about choosing pieces with character that tell a story together.
