I loooove using reclaimed materials! These old garage doors were resized, treated and painted to find a new life as window shutters. They help hold on to a little element of the history of the building and work perfectly with the sliding hanger mechanism. Don’t be put off from acquiring items that you love but aren’t quite right. The handles were originally silver in colour but a quick spray of black paint coordinates all the hardware perfectly.
