When you have a couple of hours to kill on a train journey, what better use of the time than drawing fish?
I used soft pencils to make the varied tones of this Golden Skiffia (Skiffia francesae). I always make a rough outline with a harder and lighter pencil first, eg. 2H.

Folksy looks a good UK alternative to Etsy. I like their ethos :) I am likely going to setup an online shop here at some point once I have some more products for sale.

This painting has now sold along with some of my sticker packs :) I has been a long while since I made any art relating to birds, perhaps it is time to do so again!

Another recent win for Wing & Fin Designs was the sale of this small Buenos Aires Tetra illustration. It was displayed in a 5 x 7" frame and the buyer fell in love with its emotion. The title of the illustration is "Wild Caught". It was made with watercolour pencils and graphite.

Well I am delighted to say that while I have been busy trying to finish my Betta imbellis painting, I got my first ever sale on my Etsy shop! This is quite a milestone for me!
I've only sold a humble Sewellia lineolata sticker, but it means the world to me that a complete stranger liked my art style enough to buy it :)

The bank holiday weekend has been a great opportunity for me to do some painting at last. This piece is progressing but there is still plenty to do - probably still several hours of work at least :)
