At Rencraft we have been designing and making handmade bespoke kitchens and furniture for over 40 years. Each piece of furniture is handmade to order in our extensively equipped workshops. This allows freedom and flexibility in planning and design, full control of material and production quality, which is all delivered at a sensible cost.

Having spent time globe-trotting as a family, our clients were drawn to the relaxed confidence of the Hamptons and classic New England homes - bright, well-proportioned spaces that feel welcoming rather than formal.

With its high ceilings and generous proportions, this kitchen could easily have felt ceremonial. Instead, warm oak flooring, carefully balanced lighting and considered detailing combine for a sense of homely sophistication.

We used our traditional in-frame design with bevelled wide doors, a profile with enough depth and shadow to feel characterful without dominating the room. The cabinetry is hand-painted in Chantilly Lace by , a soft white that keeps things fresh without tipping into stark, finished with polished chrome Jesper Square handles from .

The house itself is Neo-Georgian in its bones, with Art Deco touches in the cornicing and so our modern Shaker profile was chosen to bridge both influences: structured enough to honour the architecture, yet clean enough to feel entirely contemporary.

At this beautiful whole house project, we designed cabinetry for the bedrooms with each family member having their own, personal dressing room, so providing the epitome in luxury living.

For the master bedroom we handcrafted cabinetry for the “his and hers” dressing rooms, with one boasting full height mixed storage with contemporary flat panelled doors in dark stained oak, whilst in the other we incorporated full height mixed storage with a dressing table & display shelving with Shaker door fronts and inset mirrors.

In the children’s dressing rooms we handmade full height cupboards and a mix of adjustable and fixed hanging storage and shelves, as well as drawers built into the eaves for additional storage.

Behind these bifold doors is a beverage station that does it all.

A coffee machine sits alongside a hidden fridge, keeping the front seamless when it’s closed, while reeded glass cupboards show off glassware that’s meant to be seen. LED lighting and a mirrored back give it that proper glow once the doors are open, and just to the side, a glass-fronted wine fridge means even the drinks look the part.

Open it up for guests, close it away when you’re done. ☕️

Whilst we all love welcoming our friends and families into our homes, we can probably all agree that stress levels tend to increase in the hours before their arrival as we strive to pull off the impossible: a perfectly tidy home which has played host to the creation of delicious food without the slightest hint that a pan has boiled over.

And that’s exactly why the “dirty kitchen” is one of the most popular trends to be sweeping the design world. It sounds rather revolting but it’s actually quite the reverse – a functional space designed for food preparation, storage and cleaning where pots, pans and mess can be kept out of sight.

Since 1980, all of our components have been made in our own mill and workshop at Chart Farm using the same traditional woodworking methods we’ve always used.

No outsourcing, no shortcuts - just the same craftsmanship, over 45 years on.

By taking one space and then mixing contemporary and Georgian-inspired cabinetry set against striking wallpaper and an LED-lit coffered ceiling, we have created a truly unique kitchen display.

And that’s exactly the point: it stimulates the senses and provokes conversation. Some people love all of it, others only part; it’s a conversation piece but we guarantee everyone who sees it will take something away because all of the details, obvious and subtle, come together in a way that will put a smile on anyone’s face.
