How do you create a memorable first impression?
At 2 City West in Leeds, Studio 93 and BenJohnson_ID set out to transform the reception space into a welcoming arrival experience inspired by the comfort and character of boutique hospitality interiors.
Nest Contracts were proud to specify solutions for a scheme designed by Interior Designer Jake Harris, working closely to support him and the wider team to bring their vision to life through furniture specification and product sampling.
Speaking about the project, Jake explained:
“The entrance space was designed to create a strong first impression and took inspiration from sculptural forms. We introduced curves, in different formats, to create a softer, more organic feeling, which is why the rounded edges of the NORR11 Hippo Lounge Chairs worked and connected perfectly with the design philosophy we created.”
The sculptural soft curves and hospitality-inspired aesthetic creates an environment that feels both contemporary and inviting – a testament to the whole design team and their creative vision. Projects like this demonstrate the impact thoughtful design and furniture selection can have in shaping the experience of a space.
