Very happy to be part of the imminent Dada Luz exhibition - a magical world envisaged by Harvey Taylor and depicted in self portraits by the local community (swipe for exhibition deets).
My effort is titled ‘Be more Cat’ - based on wise words from a friend. Freedom is the result of transforming myself into a feline - I go where I please, walk away mid conversation when someone is boring me, stretch a lot, and generally please myself.
As you can see from the portrait I still haven’t learnt the knack of driving, and my transformation isn’t complete - hence the paper bag on my head.

Results of my first go at pottery - the final kiln firing - ranked most successful to pretty rubbish.
1. Cat sculpture. Very happy with him - nice to hold and pleasing cream colour. I’ve started another batch of these (swipe) which will hopefully be ready for Drawn Contemporary on Nov 21st 🤞🏽

I’ve decided to make more cats as incense holders to sell - 2 holes for the incense: one at the top and one from the cat’s bottom (shown in photo). Will partially glaze them in various colours..

Pet food bowl. Lumpy and inelegant, but it is functional, so that’s a win 🥇

About Riso graphs: There is a magic to the Risograph process which lies in its ‘happy accidents’. This chonky beast of a digital screen printing machine regularly creates misregistration - giving unexpected colour overlaps and playful imperfections, making every print unique.

Tis the season to visit a craft fair, have a laugh, and possibly take home something unique and designed/made by a real human being - oh the novelty…
I’m looking forward to having chats, hearing your stories, afew giggles, and lukewarm tea from a thermos…
