Hi everyone!
I’m Elizabeth Thomas, and I run The Creative Nest, an arts and crafts workshop business where kids can dive into creativity and explore new crafts. I’m excited to announce our next workshop on Monday, October 28th, at The Art Studio in the Free Church, St Ives, Cambs.
The workshops are 90-minute session designed for children aged 7-11, filled with fun and hands-on art-making! These workshops are all inclusive and supportive for every child’s abilities. Plus, there’s a cozy space next door for parents to relax, draw, color, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
The first workshop starting at 10:00 is ‘Colourful Candles Craft’, where children can unleash their creativity by designing their very own candles! With paints, stencils, and plenty of fun materials, each child will create unique masterpieces to take home.
And the second workshop starting at 1:00pm is ‘Forest Creatures Clay Creations’, where children get to sculpt their own magical forest creatures and build the perfect home for them! It's a hands-on, imaginative adventure they won't want to miss!
Each session is £17 per child, with a discounted rate of £15 for additional children from the same family.
A bit about my background: I hold a BA (Hons) in Art History and Curating from Manchester and have a fully enhanced DBS check, registered on the update service. I work part-time as a Teaching Assistant in primary schools across Cambridgeshire with Vision for Education.
When not in schools, I dedicate my time to running art and craft workshops. My goal is to expand these workshops, particularly for children in home education, creating a supportive and inspiring space where they can freely explore their creativity and artistic potential.
