We’ve been quieter on here over the past couple of months because we’ve been busy behind the scenes keeping our projects moving and, if I’m honest, juggling motherhood, the business and everything in between has taken up a-lot of brain space.

I also reached a point where I knew I needed to stop properly. Not just take a day off while still checking emails and thinking about work, but actually switch off and give myself some time to really rest. We can put so much pressure on ourselves to keep everything moving all of the time, but sometimes the most productive thing you can do is nothing at all.

A little pause, a reset, and a reminder that you can’t pour from an empty cup 🤍

A little photo dump from the camera roll, and a bit of real life too…

1-8 : BTS from photoshoots for two projects we’re very proud of!
9-11 : Site progress shots from the nursery and dressing room of a gorgeous period property we’re re-designing
12-14 : Farm visits, forest school and pumpkin picking with the little one
15-16 : A beautiful trip to portugal for a yoga retreat for a much needed rest
17-18 : A couple of new projects (before shots) that we’ve started working on concepts for - a lovely family home and a dental practice in Formby

A quiet corner, a good book, and nowhere else to be.

When we’re designing a home, these are the moments we’re thinking about. Not just how a space looks, but how it supports the small rituals that make up everyday life.

Every project starts with a conversation. If you’re considering a renovation and want to create a home that truly supports the way you live, fill out our project enquiry form and we’ll be in touch. Link in bio ✨

Shoot days are intense, exciting, and always full of surprises. Bringing a finished project to life through the lens takes a huge team effort, and our latest shoot was filled with creativity, collaboration, and plenty of experimentation. Here’s a little glimpse behind the scenes.

The way the evening light drifts through these curtains might just be my favourite part of this interior design project.

A home shaped by natural light, layered textures and materials that invite you to slow down.

The full project reveal is coming soon... ✨

Meet Ralphie, our newest (and arguably cutest) member of the Natalie Holden Interiors team.

Ralphie is Leanne’s fur baby, and despite joining us last year, we realised he’s never had a proper introduction. A typical day in the studio involves plenty of cuddles and ear scratches, the occasional stretch out on the sofa, and a thorough inspection of any bags left unattended. We’re still not entirely sure what he’s hoping to find in them, but he’s committed to the cause.

Safe to say, we love having him around the studio. 🐾

One of the things I’ve always wanted Natalie Holden Interiors to be is a business that gives something back.

We spend our days helping people create homes that work beautifully for their families and lifestyles. That makes it impossible not to recognise how important having a safe place to call home really is.

That’s why I’ve chosen Crisis as our new charity partner.
£50 of every nee project valued over £3000 will be donated to Crisis via Work For Good, with regular donations throughout the year to help support the charity’s work.

Our previous partnership with Friends of the Earth raised £1,050, and I’m incredibly thankful to every client who made that possible simply by choosing to work with us.

Here’s to designing beautiful homes whilst helping support those who need one most. 🤍

If you could choose just one of these joinery designs for your home, which would it be?

From architectural media walls and illuminated shelving to fluted cabinetry and statement bookcases, each of these designs was created to solve a different challenge. Some conceal technology, some maximise awkward spaces, and others become the focal point of an entire room. Yet they all have one thing in common: they were designed around the way our clients wanted to live and to compliment the architecture.

The beauty of bespoke joinery lies in its versatility. It can be practical, decorative, understated or bold, but when it’s thoughtfully designed, it becomes an integral part of the home rather than simply furniture added afterwards.

✨ Save this post for future inspiration if you’re planning a renovation.

There are some projects that deserve to be shared, even when there isn’t a professional photoshoot at the end. This self-build was one of them.

From the earliest planning stages, we were involved in every decision, helping shape not only how the spaces looked, but how they would feel and function to live in every day.

We developed the interior layouts, designed bespoke joinery, specified bespoke lighting, selected finishes, created custom soft furnishings and considered countless details right down to skirting profiles and hardware selections.

What you’re seeing here isn’t a polished reveal. It’s the real journey ( with a focus on the dining space ).

The drawings, the concepts, the site visits, the installation stages and the moments where ideas gradually became reality.

It’s easy to look at a finished room and focus on the final aesthetic, but projects like this remind us that good design is built through layers of thoughtful decisions, collaboration and attention to detail.

We’re incredibly proud of how this home came together and wanted to share more behind the scenes of the process that made it possible.

Which stage of a project do you enjoy seeing most: the design development or the finished result?

From cold and industrial to warm and inviting.

This To***co Warehouse apartment already had beautiful architectural bones, but it lacked the comfort and character our clients were craving.

By introducing layered textures, natural materials and warm, earthy tones, we created a space that feels rustic, elevated and effortlessly liveable.
