A complete flooring scheme for a private home.

Hammond Hill supplied and fitted a combination of Karndean Art Select AP03 parquet flooring and Westex Silken Velvet carpet in Vogue quality, finished with a CAT Designer Home collection door bar.

The photographs show the finished spaces, from the kitchen and living areas to the bedroom and beautifully shaped staircase. Different flooring finishes work together to give each part of the house its own character.

The finishing details matter too: carefully fitted carpet around the curved stair edges and the chosen door bar are part of bringing the whole scheme together.

Planning flooring for several rooms or a full house? We can help with product selection, coordinating finishes and professional fitting.

Engineered oak parquet, professionally fitted in Stourbridge.

This installation brings a classic herringbone pattern through the hallway, with careful fitting around doorways, wall panelling and the staircase.

The flooring was fully bonded to the subfloor. The photographs show both the installation work and the finished oak floor, with its natural grain and variation.

At Hammond Hill, we supply engineered wood flooring from several brands, including Ted Todd, V4 and Vittoria. We can help you choose the flooring and layout for your space, then take care of professional installation.

The red-carpet treatment for a private home cinema in Doncaster 🎬

Hammond Hill fitted Westex Carpets Westend Velvet — 80% wool and 20% nylon — over a specialist sound-absorbing underlay.

The rich red carpet runs through the cinema, stairs and connecting passageways, complementing the film-themed walls and star-effect ceiling.

For a space like this, what goes underneath the carpet matters too. The specialist underlay was an important part of the flooring specification for this home cinema.

From everyday living spaces to something a little more individual, we can help with carpet selection, underlay and professional fitting.

A real statement floor using Amtico Signature

For this project, the clients wanted something much more individual than a standard wood-effect floor.

We created a three-colour parquet design using Amtico Signature. One of the great things about Signature is the freedom it gives you to combine different colours and create a genuinely bespoke floor — the combinations are almost endless.

With a design like this, the preparation underneath is just as important as the finished pattern.

Before installation, the subfloor was carefully prepared and an epoxy damp-proof membrane was applied. Getting the base right is crucial to achieving a high-quality finish and helping the floor perform properly for years to come.

The result is a bold, highly individual floor that completely changes the character of the room.

If you're considering Amtico but want something a little different, bespoke colour combinations and layouts can create a floor that's completely your own.

Commercial flooring refurbishment in a pub in Wordsley, West Midlands

These photos show more than just a finished floor — they show the repair work needed after the existing raised pub floor failed.

The original floor had been built up to remove a step down into the adjoining room, but the timber framework underneath was insufficient and the floor eventually collapsed.

To put it right, we:
• strengthened the framework with additional timbers and noggins
• re-sheeted the area with 18mm exterior plywood
• installed new LVT flooring suitable for commercial use

The new floor carries a 15-year commercial guarantee, and we selected an option with R10 slip resistance to help reduce the risk of slips where drinks may be spilled.

The result is a safer, stronger and more practical floor for a busy pub environment.

Flooring designed around safety as well as appearance

For this recent project in Stourbridge, the client wanted a floor that was easy to maintain, but there was another important part of the brief: an elderly family member uses the property, so potential trip hazards needed to be kept to a minimum.

We installed Karndean flooring, carefully detailing the staircase and transitions with Quantum and Gradus nosings. The aim was to create clean, consistent changes between surfaces while providing a durable, well-defined finish to the stair edges.

The finished installation gives the home a smart timber-look floor that is straightforward to clean and maintain, with the transition details considered as part of the overall flooring design rather than as an afterthought.

Good flooring isn’t just about how it looks — it also needs to work for the people using the space every day.

Rental property refurbishment in Enville, South Staffordshire

We recently completed the flooring package at this approximately 200-year-old cottage ahead of a new tenant moving in.

Working for the landlord, Hammond Hill supplied and fitted:

• Cormar Carpets Apollo Plus – Cork Oak throughout the carpeted areas and stairs
• Furlong Flooring sheet vinyl to the bathroom areas
• Detailed fitting around the character staircase and existing features
• A full final vacuum, leaving the property clean and ready for occupation

Older properties often come with awkward corners, uneven lines and plenty of character — so careful measuring and fitting makes all the difference.

We work with homeowners, landlords, letting agents and property professionals on everything from single-room replacements to complete property refurbishments.

Precision fitting in Clent 👌

A recent Hammond Hill Flooring installation using Amtico Signature – Darley Oak, in the larger 184.2 × 1219.2mm XL plank.

This kitchen presented an extra fitting challenge because the existing kitchen plinths were already installed and couldn’t be removed.

Rather than relying on silicone to disguise the perimeter, every plank was carefully scribed and fitted individually around the kitchen units and fixed joinery.

No silicone sealant was used anywhere on the installation.

The result is a clean, precise finish that allows the Amtico to flow naturally through the kitchen and adjoining living space.

📍 Clent, Worcestershire

We supply and professionally install Amtico, Karndean and other premium LVT flooring, including full subfloor preparation.

Every turn takes careful fitting.

Completed today in Clent, this staircase presented a real fitting challenge with so many winding steps.

We fitted Cormar Carpets Primo Textures over Duofelt 80, a luxury felt and crumb rubber underlay chosen for the stairs, with new gripper fitted as part of the preparation.

Swipe through to see what goes underneath as well as the finished carpet. Each shaped step needed careful cutting and fitting to follow the turns and give a neat finish around the edges.

A good staircase installation starts with the preparation and finishes with attention to every tread and riser.
