Just a little reminder about collections. I plan my day around your collection times and I know we all get held up here and there occasionally, but having people nearly an hour late can cause a real backlash to the rest of my working day (especially when pick up time is in the evening!) I hate to be a moaning myrtle, and I hope you know I appreciate you all massively, so this is just a little kind reminder 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

✨A SAD UPDATE✨

The anxiety hands doing most of the talking here 😂

Life is tough enough right now. Energy bills up.
Ingredients up. Packaging up. Insurance up. And now they’re taking cake away from us!

These small honesty cake sheds or porches bring character to our communities. They’re about trust, creativity, and supporting local. They’re not multinational corporations, they’re just one person with a passion.

If this new licence fee eats into already tiny margins, what’s left? Another small joy priced out. Another local idea shut down before it grows.

We always hear councils talk about supporting small businesses and community spirit. This feels like the opposite. Like I said, I don’t know if it’s come to Birmingham yet, but I’m too nervous to stick around to find out.

So it’s with HUGE regret I close the porch for now until I get my head around it all. I will be working out an online service which I hope people will still support but I know it won’t be the same. Regardless, thank you to everyone for supporting this tiny business so far, it means more than you’ll ever know ###

SPEND MARKET DAY WITH ME 🩷

I had planned to film the build up to this day and then it was such a busy prep day that never happened, so I thought I’d bring you with me. But even then I didn’t get half as much footage when the day kicked off because we were so busy 😂😂

What an amazing day we had at Heart of the Country, I don’t think I’ll ever get used to people queuing up to by my little cookies 🥹 thank you so everyone who popped by, it was lovely chatting with you all!

T- 1 day till we’re back at Heart of the Country for this months artisan market. It’s been a touch and go week, but we’re ready! Cookies are being baked as we speak and I cannot WAIT for you to get your hands on these goodies 😍
