❤️ Here's Elsie Bear ❤️
When I designed Elsie Bear, I wanted to create a teddy that took away the parts of bear making that many people find difficult.
She has a simpler construction, making her quicker to sew and a lovely choice if you're new to sewing. At the same time, experienced sewists have told me how much they've enjoyed making her too.
Elsie looks a little like Betsy Bear's baby sister, with her rounded stuffed ears, one-piece tummy and plump little paws. She's all about soft, cuddly cuteness.
To make sewing even easier, the pattern includes a step-by-step video tutorial, and there's also a matching wardrobe of clothes available if you'd like to dress your finished bear.
Elsie is named after my mum, whose middle name was Elsie. I designed her in my head during the many 12-hour round trips I made to support my dad after my mum died suddenly in the autumn of 2023. Creating her became something positive to focus on during a very difficult time, and she will always have a special place in my heart.
