Managed to unpack the rest of my stuff yesterday, I now have my desk up and running ready to start getting back to working on creating some 'Christmas Glass' again this year πLooking forward to get back to it.. it been a stressful few months with so much happening both at home and the stress of moving from my old building where my Art studio used to be to this new building then issues with the lift being out of order in the new building meant delays in getting everything moved into the new studio..then some delay in getting a new fob and moving a few things left in my old studio so lot of unwanted stress on top of my physical disabilities.. but got there in the end and loving my new space! One of the best things I love about my new studio is.. it a proper room, my old studio was an unit so had gaps at the top so was impossible to keep warm despite having my oil heater on as heat went through the top so the place was more cold than being outside during the coldest months in winter!! Having a lift in the building so no more struggling with the stairs.. the fact I can now be there in any season, so I will be able to be there most of the time.. posting more of my work.. and creating much more than before, being nice and toasty! Theres natural daylight coming which is an extra bonus as you need proper light working with glass! I have many designs and sketchbooks after sketchbooks of designs that was created because it was just too cold to be in my old studio, I can finally start making these from paper onto glass ππ¨ I see the finished glass in my mind π so I know it possible! The workers are still working on the rest of the building so in a few months/year's time there is going to be an art gallery downstairs as well as a cafe, and some other rooms.. all so exciting! π¨βοΈso I wouldn't have to leave the building if I fancied a coffee/drink/lunch! Ideal during winter months! I plan on painting the walls - haven't decided on colours yet, get most of my completed work on the walls/on display.. Hopefully start creating glass in November β€οΈπππ
