THE ROCK AND THE WAVE

Over eons of time, the rock had stood there
Surrounded by water, beneath the sun's glare
The water washing over, it's surface each day
Where it sat on a sandbank, in the middle of the bay
It was so old, it's origins, were no longer clear
But there was something that had always, and forever been here
And that something was a wave, that always rushed up to greet him
On the early morning tide, and later when the light grew dim
It was always so happy to see him, with it's sweet caress
For this special friendship, he felt truly blessed
From miles upon miles, he would see it arrive
It's bubbling sea foam, made him feel truly alive
And Indeed it had shaped, who he had become
With it's smoothing embrace, always such fun
Sometimes it would lap gently, around and around
On other occasions, it would leap inward bound
And crash down upon him, in an exhilarating shower
Full of sparkling passion, and oceanic power
It followed the moon, and relayed other-wordly tales
About Lemuria and Atlantis, and the dolphins and whales
And news from distant lands, carried through the waters
Along with stories of the Merfolk, the sea's sons and daughters
One time it brought with it, a gift for the rock
A merry band of seahorses, in a beautiful flock
Sometimes the wave, would be emerald green
Other times grey, or aquamarine
Always reflecting the sky, the world and the weather
Quite often carrying driftwood, or a seabird's feather
But always and forever, that wave had been there
With salty sea kisses, and stories to share

OUR LADY OF THE SEA

The sea swept softly, to greet the sand
An energy created, where sea meets land
And as the sun set, a quiet hush
Descended on the water, tree, flower and bush
Then a gentle breeze, began to blow
Where stillness was present, just a moment ago
And a spiral of water, rose up from the shore
As well as seashells and pebbles, from the ocean floor
All inside, the wind that blew
And within it, a figure, came shining through
Sparkling gold, and aquamarine
An energy of pure love - pristine
And the wind died down, as she smiled at me
A smile that lit up, the fathomless sea
And radiated up, to the sky above
The water and sky, filled with her love
A golden light behind her, stretched to the horizon beyond
The sea now as calm, as a peaceful mill pond
And within her light, the sea creatures came
The whales, the dolphins,as moths to a flame
And the fish, and the rays and the seahorses too
All flooding into, her golden light in the blue
By now the night sky, was filled with silver stars
Reflected on the surface, and all who had travelled from afar
Until suddenly they dispersed, and another wonder occured
Something within, those sea creatures stirred
As they moved into position, beneath the stars' constellations
As above so below, in a vast celebration
The love that I felt in that moment, there are no words to describe
But I knew that those creatures, were connected - a tribe
And they were connected to the stars, and to Our Lady of The Sea
Somehow I knew, that this event was meant to be
And that it was significant, and a sign, of more miracles to come
Now all that remained, was a soft resonant hum
As the animals had disappeared, back into the ocean
And Our Lady Of The Sea, had set into motion
Something quite magical, that would be understood soon one day
As I gazed up at the stars, shining over the bay...

I’ve travelled over the sea to Ireland, & this was White Park Bay in the North coast of Northern island , a beautiful sunny day, cow hoof prints in the sand, stunning beach 🩵 I needed a little sea therapy 🌊💙🩵
